Job type- Full time, permanent

Salary- £31,860 per annum

Hours- 35 hours per week (+ 5 hours paid lunch)

Location- Sandwell

Nacro is the largest not for profit further education and skills provider of its type.  We deliver education and training to around 3000 disadvantaged young people, apprentices and adults each year through our network of Education and Skills Centres, funded by the Department for Education. We pride ourselves on the progression opportunities we create for them and the nurturing environment that helps our young people and adults succeed in learning to the highest standards.

 

We are in search of a Centre Manager for our Sandwell Centre. The Manager will ideally be an education professional with good organisational and leadership qualities who is looking to lead and manage an excellent education experience for both young people aged 14-19 (Study Programme) and adults attending. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the Sandwell Education Centre, the education performance of learners, and development of the professional team of teachers and trainers. 

 

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Ensure the delivery of high quality further education, and outstanding teaching, learning and assessment to wide range of learners including those on the Study Programme (16-19), 14-16 year olds and adult learners.
  • Plan and lead the recruitment of learners and work with local employers and partners Lead and manage a professional team of staff to deliver the aims of the Nacro Centres,
  • Ensure a planned and relevant curriculum for learners and meets requirements of requirements of Ofsted, awarding bodies, our learners and local demand
  • Support a culture of safeguarding and learner-voice
  • Manage an efficient and compliant centre including financial management 

 

The successful candidate will have experience in management of education, teaching/training experience and preferably will hold a teaching qualification and/or management qualification.
