Purpose of the job
To lead recruitment of students within the Alternative Education Schools Programme. Develop, nurture and effect change for the young person to return to mainstream education wherever possible.
Liaise with referring schools and stakeholders to ensure safeguarding of students remains paramount.
Guide schools staff to maintain high quality of teaching, learning and assessment to meet or exceed required standards at the Nacro Centre. Deliver own teaching responsibilities ads/when required to cover if/when schools staff absent

A dedication to establishing positive relationships with students and understanding their needs.
Supporting Teachers in managing class behaviour.
To work with the Programme Lead, to develop and maintain a quality Alternative Provision for students aged 13-16.
To co-ordinate the schools programme, ensuring staff focus on improving the quality of education, and teaching learning and assessment, ensuring Nacro maintains progress towards ‘Outstanding’ at subsequent Ofsted Inspections
Support the planning, delivery and performance of all education programmes in line with the Education Inspection framework (EIF), awarding body standards, Nacro curriculum guidance and quality standards, whilst ensuring learner feedback is part of the evaluation
Support the Centre Manager in developing the design and implementation of the Centre’s curriculum plan
Performance manage and have line management responsibilities of some/team of teachers at the designated Centre including conducting regular support and supervision and appraisals with teachers in line with policy and procedure
Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure that regular quality improvement meetings are held.
Support the development of appropriate learning and marketing resources, facilities and environment to support high quality teaching and learning, prepare learners for the world of work/further study, and contribute to wider good practice in team/directorate
General
1. Engage fully in regular supervision with your line manager.
2. Adhere to Nacro’s Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times and comply with legislation and statutory duties and data controls protocols.
