Hours: 40 hours per week (including 5 hours of paid lunch breaks)
Location: Leeds (Office-based with an option for 1 or 2 days of remote work)

Nacro's Community Support Service, commissioned by the Ministry of Justice, offers essential accommodation and support alternatives to custody. Our team provides flexible, holistic support to residents, aiding them in securing stable housing after placement. Job Purpose:
To lead a team of Referral and Contact Centre Officers in delivering the CAS-2 Referral and main phone line functions.

About the Role:

  • Lead by example, embodying Nacro’s values and behaviors in daily activities while supporting team members in making challenging decisions.
  • Set clear direction for the team to achieve organizational and local priorities.
  • Communicate organizational messages effectively through regular team meetings.
  • Establish clear objectives and performance targets for each direct report using the appraisal process, monitoring progress through regular one-on-one meetings.
  • Collaborate with Nacro and external stakeholders to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Encourage direct reports to explore innovative methods for achieving service outcomes.
  • Provide development opportunities and support for your direct reports to enhance their effectiveness and well-being.
  • The Referral and Contact Centre Lead plays a crucial role in managing our Referral Team and functions at our Leeds office, serving as the initial contact point for all CAS-2 inquiries.

Key Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:

  •   Commitment to Nacro’s values.
  • Understanding of issues faced by individuals in contact with the Criminal Justice System or those experiencing homelessness.
  • Ability to develop person-centred support plans.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices.
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults with complex needs (e.g., substance misuse, mental health challenges, housing support).
  • Willingness to travel within your designated area for training and meetings, with flexibility to cover other local areas as needed.

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position, along with registration on the DBS Update Service. These will be part of the Pre-Employment Screening process. This role also necessitates Prison Clearance
