This role is part of the Community Accommodation with Support, Tier 2 (CAS-2) programme, directly commissioned by the Ministry of Justice and operating nationwide across England and Wales.

The Insight & Engagement Coordinator plays a key role within Nacro’s CAS-2 (Community Accommodation Service, Tier 2) service. CAS-2 is a national service commissioned by the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) to provide short-term housing and support in the community to people who do not have a suitable address during a period of bail or licence. We exist to reduce pressures on the custodial estate and provide participants with the stability and support they need to move on to a positive, crime-free future.

The Insight & Engagement Team is the face of CAS-2 to external stakeholders. The team engages with HMPPS referrers to support a good understanding of the CAS-2 offer, the referral process, and our eligibility and suitability criteria. The team also speaks with potential applicants to ensure those coming into the service understand the support they will receive.

Reviewing and analysing service data, including referral patterns, the applicant-to-resident journey, resident experience and performance metrics, is fundamental to how the team provides insight and contributes to the development of the Nacro CAS-2 service.

The coordinator is responsible for planning and delivering assigned engagement activity, maintaining accurate stakeholder and insight records, analysing data and feedback, and producing clear reports and recommendations.
