Job type – Fixed-Term Contract (3 months)
Salary - £33,260 per annum
Hours – 40 hours per week
Location - Birmingham/ Hybrid Working

About the Role:
As a People Advisor, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive advisory support and guidance. Leveraging your understanding of our organisation’s strategic goals, service delivery objectives, and operational challenges, you will offer invaluable support to managers and colleagues. Your expertise will help shape an environment where everyone can perform at their best and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
This role supports people advisory through the effective management of employee relations cases relating, but not limited, to:
- Absence Management
- Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)
- Discipline & Grievance
- Probation
Strategic Advisory Support: Use your knowledge of our organisation’s goals to offer targeted advice and support, helping to create and maintain an environment where employees can thrive.
Comprehensive Guidance: Provide efficient and effective people-focused solutions, handling both foundational queries and more complex issues with expertise.
Coaching & Development: Guide line managers in addressing people risks, issues, and opportunities within their teams. Lead ad hoc learning sessions to address common development needs.
What We are Looking For:
- Expertise: A strong background in people advisory / HR generalist roles with a deep understanding of strategic and operational challenges, and up-to-date knowledge of good practice in HR policy, practices, and UK employment law.
- Communication Skills: Excellent ability to convey complex information in a clear, actionable manner.
- Coaching Ability: Experience in coaching and supporting managers to address people-related challenges and opportunities.
