Salary: £28,892 per annum - This role is currently in receipt of a temporary market supplement of
£1,450 per annum, payable as an additional premium above the
contractual base salary
Hours: 40 hours per week, (08.30 – 4.30) Monday – Friday

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking someone who is passionate about improving the lives and chances of young people who may have had multiple barriers to education in the past.
We need someone who will embrace a varied role, acting as part of the centre management team, leading specifically on the quality of delivery and outcomes for all Maths & English qualifications, and being the leader of a small team of teaching staff.
We want someone who is excited about developing, improving, and nurturing their team to provide impactful teaching, learning and assessment.
Experience in delivering Maths and English qualifications, monitoring quality of education and/or managing teaching staff is desirable.
What will I be doing as a deputy programme leader?
As one of only 2 or 3 key on-site managers of our centre, you will develop and maintain a safe and engaging learning environment whilst supporting your team to deliver high quality education to our students. You will line manage a small group of the teaching team (specifically English & maths specialists) and support with the quality of delivery across the centre, and monitoring and tracking of outcomes. The role also includes around 12 hours of contact time and delivery of teaching and support sessions as part of the role.
You will report to our area Head of Curriculum and Engagement and will work closely with them and other managers to bring about improvements and overcome day to day challenges.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Line management of a team of teachers
- Delivery around aspects of English, Maths, pastoral and tutorial.
- Deputise for Programme Leader in relation to day-day management of the centre.
- Ensure that the Maths & English curriculum is delivered effectively and efficiently, working with central teams and other managers to raise standards.
- Safeguarding including acting as a designated safeguarding lead in your centre.
- Working with employers and others in the community to provide enhanced learning experiences for students.
Essential requirements for this role
- GCSE 4/C English and maths or equivalent
- Level 3 AET or equivalent / relevant teaching and learning related qualification
- Knowledge and experience of education quality and regulatory frameworks and practices
